FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ'S)

1. When are classes held?

Our youth classes are offered year-round. During the school year, classes are held after school and Saturday mornings. During the summer months we offer a 10-week long Summer Session. Classes are 1 hour long, once a week. For your convenience, we bill quarterly (three months at a time). As students are encouraged to take year-round, class openings are limited. We strongly emphasize registering early to get into the classes you want. Our existing students get top registration priority. If any class openings become available, registration is based on a first-come-first-serve basis. We recommend calling and joining our waiting list.

2. How do I register my student(s)?

Online registration is not available at this time. Please call 277.9244 for class availability and to register.

3. How old do students have to be to take classes?

We have found that the maturity and attention span of young children varies. However, we require that students must be at least age 6 to take Kids Sew sewing classes, at least age 8 to take Culinary Kids cooking classes, and ages 5 to 7 to take Cookie Camp baking classes.

4. How many students are in each class?

We keep our class sizes small so each child has adequate attention/instuction. Material Kids sewing classes are limited to 10 students, Culinary Kids cooking classes are limited to 8 students, and Cookie Camp baking classes are limited to 6 students.

5. Do you offer makeups for missed classes?

We offer a Sewing Makeup Class, held weekly on Saturdays at 12pm for those who miss their regularly scheduled Kids Sew class. Makeup classes are ONLY AVAILABLE to students/parents who notify us AT LEAST 24 HOURS before their missed class. We cannot offer makeup classes to no-shows, and same day calls. If you miss your scheduled makeup class, we cannot reschedule. Only 2 makeup classes per student are allowed per billing quarter. We regret that we are unable to offer Kids Sew make up classes in the summer.

Due to the nature and progression of the cooking program, missed Culinary Kids and Cookie Camp classes cannot be made up.

6. When are tuition and supply fees due?

Tuition fees are due at the time of registration for new students and quarterly thereafter. All tuition & outstanding supply fees must be paid in full before student can begin classes. Sewing tuition fees do not include supplies. A monthly bill will be sent home with students as they complete projects. Payment for supplies is due upon receipt. All supply fees must be paid by the last day of each billing cycle. All major credit/debit cards, cash, and checks are welcome as forms of payment.
